Thread: Travelling during Golden Week

I am trying to do more organizing of our time in Tokyo.
I am wondering if there are any particular places/areas we should avoid during the public holidays. And if there are any places that wont get too busy?

Would a tour booked for Mt Fuji be ok on a public holiday, or should we avoid this?

I have driven from Toronto to Georgia non stop many times.
You will see all kinds of weather, especially in the mountains in West Virginia. They can be scary in snow or rain. Drive slow. Never mind the crazy truck drivers.
It is a beautiful drive though!
